EntertainmentSome Good NewsJohn Krasinski is back behind a desk and talking into a camera- this time, in a self produced episode of Some Good News, his new YouTube channel dedicated to, you guessed it, sharing some good news. The show is exactly what it sounds like: Krasinski talks about a few heartwarming, good stories that people might be looking for right now while stuck at home. There are stories about the support cities around the world have shown health care workers from their own apartments, stories about a homeowner making a delivery driver’s day by leaving gifts on the porch and a story about a man who purchased 100 lobsters in Maine to help a local fisherman. This isn’t a big production designed to garner millions of subscribers and land top sponsorships. Krasinski is vlogging because that’s a way for him to connect with people...and spread some good news.So far, two episodes have been "aired" and I am hoping for many more in the future! Check out the channel linked below.Click here to view the episode. EntertainmentWeRateDogsDoes this pic remind anyone else of their dog(s) during last night's storm? Just me? Ok...This is Ralph- apparently he heard a firework and is "not sure if the world is ending, but if it is he wanted to be with you. 14/10." Combining humor and passion for canines, WeRateDogs started as a side hustle, and now has over 1.5 million followers on Instagram and 8.7 million followers on Twitter. If you're ready for a cuteness overload, check out the link below for 30 times people asked to rate their dogs and got hilariously wholesome results.Click here to see the dog ratings. PatriotismThe Tomb of the Unknown SoldierThis is dedication. “I think it’s important for us to show to this country that we haven’t forgotten.”The Army’s 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment continues to stand guard over the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, even though Arlington National Cemetery is closed.“For us, it doesn’t matter if it’s a hurricane, or if it’s the coronavirus,” says Captain Harold Earls, “We are always here, we are always guarding.”Click here to read the article. CommunityEat Your Heart Out CincyEat Your Heart Out Cincy is a collection of resources to show love and support to our restaurants, bars and hospitality workers. On this website, you can find a link to buy a meal for a healthcare worker, purchase gift cards to local restaurants or make a donation to the virtual tip jar."Some of our favorite people have found themselves suddenly without an income. Being shut down for weeks or even months is a disaster for these workers and small businesses. They are an important and valued part of our daily lives. If your income is reasonably steady right now, you can help save Cincinnati’s restaurants."Click here to access the site.
