Meet The NEW Stay & Wonder Gallery Artist:
Kathy Groob
Growing up as a descendant of Covington Kentucky's own Frank Duveneck, you could say that art is in her blood. He’s rather famous and hearing the tales her grandmother told about seeing him in the saloons in Covington and later reading about his followers who came after, made an impression on her as a young girl. In fact, she is the only living relative of Frank Duveneck to reside in his hometown of Covington, Kentucky.
Kathy’s artwork and photography are expressions of her passion for nature, flowers, people, memorable places, light and clouds. A contemporary artist working with watercolors, pen and ink and acrylics on canvas, she generally paints from her own photographs and sketches. She is inspired by the works of Georgia O’Keeffe, Frida Kahlo, Vincent van Gogh, Mary Cassatt, Andrew Wyeth, Marc Chagall, Paul Gauguin, Charley Harper, and of course Frank Duveneck.
Be sure to visit her NEW Cincinnati art studio at the Pendleton Art Center! Her space is in the Annex building, Suite 6.
