2020 Coloring Contest Finalists!
We are excited to display the finalists of the first 2020 coloring contest!
There were four designs: a Martin Luther King, Jr. quote, 2 March Madness inspired pictures and a St. Patrick’s Day picture.
First place of the MLK design won due to the attention to detail- cutting out the edges, using glitter pens and bedazzling with a jewel, great job! The first runner up did an incredible job coloring in each letter with a striped design and I love the fluorescent colors used. The second runner up spent a lot of time coloring in each individual dot around the border.
First place of the basketball and hoop design won for taking the time to hole punch orange paper and create the basketball with those punches- also love the time she took to cut out the net and mount everything on card stock- well done! The first runner up was super creative and turned the picture into an underwater scene. The second runner up had Space Jam vibes and that is really cool.
First place of the St. Patrick’s Day design won due to the bold use of color covering the entire page. The first runner up won for their use of mixed materials, crayons and glitter pens (and I am a sucker for the glitter!!!). The second runner up did a great just covering the full page with color and I love the purple sky…beautiful job!
First place of the sneaker design won due to the Kobe tribute- respect. The first runner up imagined some colorful kicks and I can imagine lots of people ordering them IRL. The second runner up created a moody pair using deep, dark colors.
All first place submissions received a $25 gift card and the runner ups also received a gift card.
Stay tuned for the next Columbia Plaza coloring contest!
